Dr. Alina Diana Nemes

Over 20 years in medicine, the most recent of them devoted to one simple question: what happens when you treat the whole person rather than the symptom that complained first. I work with Bowen therapy and homeopathy, alongside medical hypnotherapy, neurotherapy and integrative psychotherapy.

The main areas

Two ways of working, both of them patient

Bowen therapy works with the body, directly. Homeopathy starts from your history and from the way you react. I practise both as a doctor, not in place of medicine.

Bowen Therapy

Gentle movements over muscle and fascia, with deliberate pauses between them. No joint manipulation, no force.

  • No force
  • Short sessions
  • Deliberate pauses
  • Adults and children

What people most often come to Bowen with

  • Muscle tension that keeps returning to the same places
  • Discomfort in the back, neck or shoulders
  • Stiffness after long stretches at a desk
  • The feeling of a "braced" body that will not let go even at rest
  • Light sleep on a background of physical tension
  • Slow recovery after exertion or after a demanding stretch
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Allergies
  • Bowel transit problems
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety

Homeopathy

A long consultation that looks at your whole history and at the way you react, not only at the diagnosis.

  • A long consultation
  • Full history
  • Individualised
  • Complementary

When a homeopathy consultation makes sense

  • Chronic problems with test results within normal limits
  • Symptoms that return cyclically, in the same pattern
  • High sensitivity to stress, with an echo in the body
  • Long, drawn-out recoveries
  • A wish to understand the history, not just to cover the symptom
  • Situations where you want a second medical opinion, with time to talk

How I work

Medicine that asks "why", not only "where does it hurt"

I studied General Medicine and stayed in it for over twenty years. Along the way I added Bowen therapy, homeopathy, neurotherapy and integrative psychotherapy, not to replace medicine but because I needed more tools than the prescription pad gave me.

Most people reach me after they have already been to several doctors, have normal test results and a problem that will not go away. That is where my work starts: listening to the whole history, not the last two weeks, and looking for the pattern behind the symptom.

Bowen and homeopathy for animals

I hold a qualification in veterinary homeopathy, and I also work Bowen therapy on animals: horses, dogs, cats. The same principles as with people: gentle, without force, with patience. The underlying diagnosis and the treatment stay with the treating vet.

What else the consultation includes

These are not separate services but tools from the same kit. They are used when the situation calls for them.

  1. Medical hypnotherapy

Working with a state of deep relaxation, in a medical practice, towards a goal agreed in advance. It has nothing to do with stage hypnosis.

  2. Neurotherapy and BrainMap

Neurofeedback therapist certified at IFEN Germany. qEEG assessment and neuroregulation plans.

  3. Integrative psychotherapy

Autonomous integrative psychotherapist. Working with emotion and life story, alongside the medical side.

  4. Sexology

About me

About me

I am a doctor, with over 20 years devoted to the process of healing and to exploring the connection between body, mind and applied technology. I studied General Medicine, then extended my qualifications into neurotherapy, Bowen therapy and integrative psychotherapy.

I am a co-founder of the BrainMap Institute in Brașov, where I analyse the results of BrainMap assessments and build intervention plans on them. I also contribute there to developing the therapeutic programmes.

Alongside that I am a doctoral candidate in neuroscience and publish clinical studies with my colleagues at the institute. I like putting the data next to the conversation: when a brain map shows something, the question "why is this happening to me" gets the beginning of an answer.

For parents

The Parents' Academy

Many of the things that worry a parent cannot be settled in a short appointment. They need context, not a quick answer. The Parents' Academy is a programme built on applied neuroscience: what happens in a child's brain at each age and what that means for the way you react.

It is a programme of the BrainMap Institute, of which Dr. Alina Diana Nemes is a co-founder.

Research

Research and publications

I publish clinical studies together with psychologist Alina Robu, in international scientific journals. All of the studies below appeared in the International Journal of Scientific Development and Research in 2025.

See the 5 studies

  1. The impact of a multimodal neurotechnological intervention on the physiological and neurocognitive markers of healthy longevity
  2. The efficiency of multimodal neurotechnological intervention in optimising attention and school performance in secondary-school children (ages 11–15)
  3. Brain Fitness for business success: raising productivity and focus through neurotechnological interventions

Not sure which approach fits you?

Call and tell me briefly what brings you. If your situation calls for something other than what I do, I will say so in the first conversation.
