The rest of the practice

Other areas

Alongside Bowen and homeopathy, the consultation rests on my core medical training and on the measurable side of the practice.

Secondary area

Neurotherapy and BrainMap

At the BrainMap Institute I analyse the results of the BrainMap assessment and build intervention plans on them. It is the part of my practice that rests on measurement, not on interpretation.

See what a BrainMap assessment involves

  1. Reading the brain map

I analyse the qEEG results and explain which patterns show up and how they connect to what you feel day to day.

  2. The intervention plan

I build the plan on the data and on the needs identified in our conversation, not on a standard protocol.

  3. Running the protocols

I follow how the neuroregulation protocols are applied and adjust along the way, depending on what the reassessment shows.

Secondary area

Integrative psychotherapy

Training in integrative psychotherapy gives me the tools for the part a standard medical consultation only touches in passing: what happened, how you carried it, and what settled on top of that.

  1. Not one single school

Integrative means the tools are chosen to fit the person, not the other way round.

  2. Next to the medical side

The advantage is that the conversation and the clinical examination sit in the same room, with the same person.

  3. With a clearly stated goal

From the start we agree where we want to get to and by which signs we will know we are there.

Secondary area

Sexology

Sexology covers questions about desire, intimacy and the couple relationship, subjects many people put off for years because they do not know who to ask. The conversation is medical, adult and free of judgement.

  1. You can ask

Nothing is ridiculous and nothing is something I have not heard before. The first consultation is largely a conversation.

  2. Looking for the cause, not just the symptom

Often what sits behind it is sleep, stress, a treatment you are on, or a hard stretch in the relationship.

  3. Confidential

What is discussed stays between us, as in any medical consultation.

Secondary area

General medicine

Every other area rests on the core training: General Medicine and over twenty years of practice. That is also why, when a situation calls for investigation or conventional treatment, I recognise it and say so.

  1. History first

The consultation starts with your full history, not with the last two weeks.

  2. A referral when needed

If what you describe needs a specialist or investigations, I send you there. Without delay.

  3. Medical ethics

I hold formal qualifications in medical ethics and treat them as part of the job, not as a formality.

Not sure which approach fits you?

Call and tell me briefly what brings you. If your situation calls for something other than what I do, I will say so in the first conversation.
